The Institute for Public Policy Research partnered with the Citizenship Foundation in 2004 on the ‘I was a teenage governor’ project.
This was intended to be used as a practical tool for any school considering the appointment of its pupils as Associate Governors. You can find the reports of the first and second stages of this project here: https://www.progressiveeducation.org/i-was-a-teenage-governor-2/
I agree that this is a necessary idea. We need to fully embrace communication with the students and use the views to make improvements to the school experience.
Loving this idea!
